You’ll love knitted in poodle wool
Materials: Of Lee Target Poodle Wool, allow (15, 16, 16) ozs. in bellflower; (11, 12, 12) ozs. in emerald and 4 ozs. in turquoise. 1 pair each of Nos. 10 and 12 knitting needles.
Tension: 5 sts. and 8 rows to 1 in.
Measurements: To suit (32 to 34, 34 to 36, 36 to 38) in. bust sizes; length from shoulder, 26-1/2 in.; sleeve seam, 18-1/2 in.
Note on the sizes: The foll, instructions are for all sizes. The first set of figures in squared brackets applies to the 32 to 34 in. bust size; the second set to the 34 to 36 in. and the third set to the 36 to 38 in. bust. Figures not in squared brackets apply to all sizes.

Back and Front (both alike)
Using No. 12 needles and B wool, cast on (94, 100, 108) sts. and work in k.1, p.1 rib for 2-1/2 in. Changing to No. 10 needles, proceed in stripe patt. thus: Work 6 rows st.st. with E, then k.2 rows in g.st. with T. Work 6 rows st.st with E and 6 rows with B, then k.2 rows in g.st with T. Work 6 rows st.st with B. These 28 rows form the stripe patt. Rep. them 3 times more, then work first 16 rows again.
Keeping continuity of stripes, shape armholes thus: Cast off (4, 5, 7) sts. at start of next 2 rows, then dec. 1 st. at each end of next row and every foll. alt. row until (68, 72, 76) sts. rem. Work 39 rows straight, finishing at end of 7th set of E stripes. Changing to No. 12 needles and using B wool only, k. 1 row, then work in k.1, p.1 rib for 1-1/4 in, finishing with a wrong side row.
To shape shoulders, cast off 4 sts. ribwise at start of the next 8 rows. Cast off rem. (36, 40, 44) sts. for neck.
The Sleeves (both alike)
Using No. 12 needles and B wool, cast on (38, 40, 40) sts. and work in k.1, p.1 rib for 2-1/2 in. Changing to No. 10 needles, proceed in stripes as given for back, but inc. 1 st. at each end of 3rd row and every foll. 6th row until there are (76, 78, 82) sts. Work (17, 17, 5) rows straight after last inc. row, finishing with 2nd row of 5th set of B stripes. To shape top ,cast off (4, 5, 7) sts. at start of next 2 rows, then dec. 1 st. at each end of next row and every foll. alt. row until 22 sts. rem. K. 1 row with T. Using E, cast off 4 sts. at start of the next 4 rows. Cast off rem. 6 sts.
To Complete
Press work lightly with a warm iron over a damp cloth. Join shoulder seams, set in sleeves, then join side and sleeve seams.
