* Wool-mohair blend fine weight yarn: 2 skeins dusty rose (3.9 oz./110 g; shown in Fonty Ombelle, #1049)
* Size 9 (5.5 mm) needles
* Yarn needle

* Lace pattern
GAUGE
* In lace pattern with size 9 (5.5 mm) needles, 4" x 4" / 10 x 10 cm = 20 sts x 19 rows
INSTRUCTIONS
Cast on 53 stitches. Knit 2 rows even.
Start lace pattern.
Row 1: K1, *yo, skp, k8; repeat from * to last 2 sts, k2.
Row 2 and every even-numbered row: Purl.
Row 3: K1, *k1, yo, skp, k5, k2tog, yo; repeat from * to last 2 sts, k2.
Row 5: K1, *k2, yo, skp, k3, k2tog, yo, k1; repeat from * to last 2 sts, k2.
Row 7: K1, *k5, yo, skp, k3; repeat from * to last 2 sts, k2.
Row 9: K1, *k3, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skp, k2; repeat from * to last 2 sts, k2.
Repeat the 10 rows of the lace pattern until the piece measures 59"/150 cm long, then finish with 2 rows of knit.
Bind off.
TIP
For a nice finished look, block your work by ironing the scarf on low heat (see page 15).
