SIMPLE BRAIDED
SCARF
Keep your neck warm when the frost strikes with a giant woolly braid. This super-simple scarf looks like you’ve worked a fancy cable. But in reality, it’s just three long strips braided together. The super-chunky yarn knits up in a trice, making it an ideal project for beginners who are after something a little different—and impatient knitters of all levels! I’ve chosen a delicate shade of cool pale blue for this version, but you can choose any shade you like.

Holding the ends of the tie, smooth the cut edges downward. Tie the second length of yarn around the doubled bunch, about 2in (5cm) from the top. Trim the tassel ends.
