Made with the head and body combined, this long-limbed cat is surprisingly quick and easy to knit. His tail is worked in basic crochet. Knitted in soft, elastic baby yarn and DK (sport) weight yarn (25% wooV25% acrylic/50% polyamide) using 3mm (US size 3) and 5mm (US size 8) knitting needles and a 4mm (US size G) crochet hook.
INSTRUCTIONS
Referring to the grid patterns, knit the following in st st using 5mm (US size 8) needles:
In A and B: two front/back pieces; in B: two ears.
Arms (x 2): Cast on 16 sts in Al using 5mm (US size 8) knitting needles, and knit in st st for 3cm (11/4in). Change to 3mm (US size 3) needles and knit in st st using C for 12cm (43/4in); cast off.
Legs (x 2): Cast on 16 sts in A, using 5mm (US size 8) knitting needles, and knit in st st for 4cm (1 /in). Change to 3mm (US size 3) needles and knit in st st using C for 16cm (61/4in); cast off. Tail: Using B, 52ch. Turn and work back to the start with sl st into
each ch; finish off.
